Mission
The mission and purpose of the Foundation on Aging is to support, fund and further the programs of the Riverside County Office on Aging, and other new and innovative programs that sustain and enhance the quality of life of older adults in Riverside County.
Passion
The Foundation supports its work through donations and gifts. With your help, older adults who are vulnerable, at risk, and who may also be homebound will be sure to receive the support to age with dignity, respect and independence.
Events
On November 15, 2024, the Foundation hosted its 12 th Annual Charity Golf Tournament. Proceeds
from the tournament help fund several key initiatives, including our Nutrition Support Market Gift
Card Program, which provides critical food assistance to older adults throughout Riverside County.
While our 2025 tournament is on pause due to rising costs and other factors, we are excited to
announce that the event will return in 2026 – bigger and better than ever. Stay tuned – the date
will be announced soon!
Support
You can make a difference! 100% of your contributions will directly help seniors in need throughout Riverside County. Work with us to strengthen, expand, and support senior programs.
Advancing Financial Sustainability and Serving Riverside County’s Growing Senior Population
Did you know that Riverside County is among the top three counties in Southern California with the highest older adult population? Today, more than 366,000 seniors aged 65 and older call Riverside County home. By 2030, this number is expected to nearly double—and by 2060, the senior population is projected to exceed 908,500. Even more striking, the number of individuals aged 85 and older is anticipated to increase by over 700 percent during that time.
Unfortunately, public funding for senior services has not kept pace with this rapid growth. The needs of our older adult population are urgent and expanding—and so is our mission.
Established in 2004, the Riverside County Foundation on Aging is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization created to support, fund, and advance the programs of the Riverside County Office on Aging, as well as other innovative services that improve the quality of life for older adults across our county.
To meet these challenges, the Foundation has adopted a diversified and proactive approach to
fundraising and financial sustainability:
• Grant Applications: Since January 1, 2025, we have submitted proposals to multiple funders, including the Morongo Band of Mission Indians Community Outreach Grant, Stater Bros. Charities, Albertsons Companies Foundation, O’Reilly Auto Parts Foundation, City of Indio, Regional Access Project (RAP) and the American Woodmark Foundation. Additional applications will be submitted this summer to all five Riverside County Supervisorial Districts for Community Improvement and Development (CID) Grants, as well as to the City of Indian Wells. We continue to identify new opportunities through ongoing research and outreach.
• Annual Charity Golf Tournament: While rising costs and other factors have led us to pause our Charity Golf Tournament in 2025, we’re excited to bring it back—bigger and better—in 2026. More information will be provided once the 2026 Golf Tournament date is determined.

• Community Contributions and Unsolicited Donations: In addition to targeted outreach, we are grateful for unsolicited donations that reflect community trust. In 2024, this included generous support from Riverside Professional Women for Good and Independence at Home/SCAN Community Service.
• Fiscal Agent for Senior Recognition Program: For the past two years, the Foundation has proudly served as the fiscal agent for a program honoring older adults in the Second Supervisorial District, with net proceeds benefiting the Foundation and the seniors we
serve.
