GOLF TOURNAMENT

The Foundation’s Annual Charity Golf Tournament will return in 2026! While rising costs and other factors have led us to pause our Charity Golf Tournament in 2025, we’re excited to bring it back—bigger and better—in 2026. More information will be provided once the 2026 Golf Tournament date is established.

The Foundation’s 2024 golf tournament was very successful with 79 registered golfers in attendance! Golfers were able to apply the tips she provided on the golf course that same day. The Foundation raised a net amount of over $29,000. Every dollar raised will helps address the needs of older adults by supporting programs and services of the Riverside County Office on Aging and other public agencies and organizations.

For more than 15 years, the Riverside County Foundation on Aging has purchased and distributed grocery store gift cards during the holidays to needy seniors throughout Riverside County. In June of 2023, the Foundation administered its first Mid-Year Grocery Gift Card Program. In June 2024, the Foundation on Aging administered its second consecutive Mid-Year Grocery Market Gift Card Program. The Foundation secured three grants, and along with discretionary funds available, offered for a second time a Mid-Year Grocery Gift Card distribution Riverside County. Gift cards, valued at $25, were distributed via 18 senior centers/programs. This year’s mid-year program represented a doubling of grant funds secured and an increase in market gift cards distributed from $4,500 (180 cards) in 2023 to $9,050 (362 cards) distributed in 2024. .

In November 2023, the Foundation purchased and contributed 120 Grocery Market Gift Cards valued at $25 each to the Office on Aging Holiday Gift Card Drive.

In December 2024, the Foundation purchased and contributed $3,000 or 120 grocery store gift cards valued at $25 each to the Office on Aging (OoA) Holiday Gift Drive, providing necessities, emergency supplies and holiday gifts to seniors in extreme need who are enrolled in case management services from the OoA.

Also in December 2024, an additional 3,050 grocery store gift cards valued at $25 each, for a total of $76,250, were delivered to seniors in need via 55 senior centers/programs, including five veteran organizations, across Riverside County.

In a needs assessment survey administered by the Riverside County Office on Aging in 2023, 59% of respondents reported facing challenges obtaining affordable, quality food.

The Foundation exists to support the work of the Riverside County Office on Aging, and other new and innovative programs that sustain and enhance the quality of life of older adults.

Each year the Foundation on Aging continues to work to strengthen, expand and support senior programs and help make a difference in the lives of seniors in Riverside County. The Foundation is incorporated as a 501(c) (3) (Tax ID #20-1813339) and is completely funded through local donations.
