    Foundation on Aging Donation
    Holiday Nutrition Gift Card Program

    Helps Feed Seniors

You can help the Foundation on Aging achieve its goal of making sure senior centers and other community organizations in Riverside County receive grocery gift cards for distribution to needy seniors. Send your tax-deductible donation to: Foundation on Aging - 3410 La Sierra Ave. Ste F701
    Riverside, CA 92503

The Foundation on Aging has been involved with the distribution of Holiday Gift Cards to needy seniors throughout Riverside County for several years. During January 2022 the Foundation on Aging distributed 766 grocery store gift cards to Senior Centers throughout Riverside County.

In the month of December 2022, an additional 664 grocery store gift cards were delivered to seniors in need via senior centers in Riverside County.

This is a statement from one senior center director, “each senior citizen who received these gift cards were touched deeply. All expressed their gratitude, a few were brought to tears, and many said that the card was the only gift they would be receiving this holiday season.”

According to a survey of Congregate Meal program participants conducted by the Riverside County Office on Aging in 2019, 43% of respondents stated that they do not always have enough money to buy food. Sadly, many seniors must choose between paying their bills and buying food. It is for this reason that the Foundation on Aging will continue to focus on senior nutrition and again assist seniors during the holidays.

The Foundation exists to support the work of the Riverside County Office on Aging, and other new and innovative programs that sustain and enhance the quality of life of older adults.

Each year the Foundation on Aging continues to work to strengthen, expand and support senior programs and help make a difference in the lives of seniors in Riverside County. The Foundation is incorporated as a 501(c) (3) (Tax ID #20-1813339) and is completely funded through local donations.
