Anna L. Martinez,

President/Executive Director

Retired Riverside County Director of Office on Aging after working 31 years in social services for Riverside County. She served in various positions, including Assistant Director of Social Services, Executive Director of In-Home Supportive Services Public Authority, and DPSS Regional Manager. Anna has served on the Riverside County Foundation on Aging Board since 2017.

Shirley Morgan,

Vice President

Retired computer-based Training Officer, County of Riverside Department of Public Social Services. B.S degree Business Administration, California Baptist University. Joined the Foundation Board in 2019.

Kevin Ford,

Treasurer

Board certified in healthcare management with American College of Healthcare Executives. MBA from University of California, Irvine. Over 30 years of experience in healthcare IT and managed care quality management. Member, Greater Coachella Valley Chambers of Commerce. Joined the Foundation Board in 2022.  

Barbara J Mitchell,

Secretary

Retired Riverside County Mental Health Services Manager of the Department of Behavioral Health. Worked in Behavioral Health for 35 years working with older adults to enhance their lives and maintain them in their communities. Currently serves on several nonprofit boards and advisory councils. Joined the Board in 2017.

Dan Martinez,

Golf Tournament Coordinator

Retired County and City Executive. He worked for a total of 31 years in local government, 24 of those years with the County of Riverside in various positions including Deputy County Executive Officer and Managing Director for the County Economic Development Agency. He also served as City Manager for his hometown of Indio, CA for seven years before retiring in 2017. Joined the Foundation Board in 2022.

Jody Hall Esser,

Special Projects Coordinator

Retired from 36 years in local government including 24 years with City of Culver City in various positions, including Senior Center Director, Development Director, last 10 years as City Manager/CAO. Post retirement, part-time Exec. Dir. Westside LA Cities Council of Government, Director of Planning and Development for County of Santa Clara and consultant to cities, counties, and nonprofit organizations. Joined the Foundation Board in 2017, President 2018-22.

Lynn Athens

Retired as Chief Human Resource Officer at Plexcity, a shared service company serving state credit union trade associations nationwide. Spent 40 years in the credit union industry, last credit union position as CEO of Spectrum Federal Credit Union serving Bechtel Corporation worldwide. Masters in Human Resources from USF. Joined the Foundation Board in 2023.

Robin Lang

Retired commercial/business property manager and office manager continuing care facility. Past officer/board member Moreno Valley and Riverside Chambers of Commerce; charter member Keep Riverside Clean and Beautiful. Past member Moreno Valley Rotary and United Way. Current member and past president Moreno Valley Soroptimists. Joined the Foundation Board in 2023.

Margaret “Peg” Leo

Retired elementary school and music teacher. Active volunteer with several organizations and nonprofit boards including the Joslyn Center Board of Directors and Riverside County Retired and Senior Volunteer Advisory Council, with a personal interest and focus on helping seniors improve their quality of life. Joined the Foundation Board in 2023.

Nina Navarro

Retired Account Supervisor for a large Bus Manufacturer in Riverside. Member of the Soroptimist of Moreno Valley and a 25-year member of the American Legion Auxiliary post 299 Chino, CA. Joined the Foundation Board in 2023.

Brian Peterson

Small business owner in Los Angeles; sold business in 1994 and transitioned to County of Riverside Department of Public Social Services, retiring in 2017 as DPSS legislative analyst. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Joined the Foundation Board in 2023.
